In order to make Thai food at home, you’ll need gluten free versions of a few basic items. These are easy to find in most countries, and can be purchased online or at your local Asian market. You can make almost all classic Thai dishes with just the basics, but certain dishes require special ingredients.
Follow the links for gluten free options. Any of the ingredients with an asterisk (*) are not gluten free by default! Always read ingredients lists thoroughly before purchasing a sauce in a local store. Skip anything that has unspecified soy seasoning as an ingredient, unless it also has a certified gluten free label.

Making Thai food at home is the easiest way to avoid cross contamination, but it can require some cooking skills and a really hot wok to achieve similar results. Thai food is absolutely delicious and it’s worth making these dishes yourself if you’re not able to find a safe gluten free Thai restaurant option near you.
